Schock Receives High Profile Endorsements

High-profile heart of Illinois republicans endorsed Aaron Schock Friday on his bid for the 18th District congressional seat among them, Schock's primary contenders John Morris and Jim McConoughey.

Current congressman Ray LaHood and former congressman Bob Michel also announced their support for Schock.

"For me as I look back at how I started at an early age and seeing the youthful zest of Aaron Schock, why I am just thrilled to be a part of it," said Michel.

"It couldn't be more of a boost for my campaign at this time headed into the general election to know that my party is unified behind me as we head off for the November election," said Schock.

Democrat Colleen Callahan and Green Party candidate Sheldon Schafer will face Schock in the November general election.
