AARON SCHOCK - A PROVEN ABILITY TO WIN

•  Write-in candidate at age 19 for Peoria School Board against the president of the school board. Schock won with 6,407 write-in votes and 60% of the vote.

•  Defeated an 8 year incumbent Democrat state representative in 2004 in a strong Democrat district. Schock won despite being outspent by over $200,000 and a barrage of negative attack ads in the mail and on TV.

•  Won re-election as state representative with 59% of the vote. Raised $1,250,000 in the campaign with the vast majority coming from the Peoria area.

Aaron Schock now represents the only majority Democrat state house district wholly within the 18th Congressional District. 

Aaron has already twice won the most difficult part of the 18th Congressional District and is best prepared to withstand the worst possible trends for the Republican Party nationally. 

Aaron is a conservative who has demonstrated his ability to appeal to non-traditional Republicans by reaching out to respectfully ask for their votes. He excels in articulating his conservative principles in a positive manner to all voters.
